The creation of food abundance in Turkmenistan, comprehensive development of the agro-industrial complex, which is directly related to the improvement of living standards and quality of life of the population are the priorities of our country's economic policy. At present, large-scale reforms aimed at increasing agricultural productivity and increasing the production of various types of agricultural products are being successfully implemented in this sector.

In 2019, the purchase price of wheat was doubled by the state. Thus, the farmers were paid the minimum fee for the land. They became completely tax-exempt. Equipment, seeds, mineral fertilizers, water supply and other services to renters and farmers' associations are carried out on preferential terms. Thus, more than half of the cost of grain is now borne by the state.

In Turkmenistan, the development of agriculture, the protection of the environment, the rational use of natural resources, land resources, the successful implementation of hydrometeorology and food security programs are carried out by the ministries, departments which are applying the newest know-hows and advanced technologies in this work.

In Turkmenistan, new industrial enterprises are being launched in the agricultural processing industry, equipped with modern technological equipment. The volume of production of high quality and competitive products that meet international standards is increasing.

The Land Resources Service is developing and ensuring the implementation of a unified state land policy in Turkmenistan. It legalizes the ownership, use and lease of land plots in the prescribed manner. The Hydrometeorology Service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment Protection of Turkmenistan makes a worthy contribution to the economic development of Turkmenistan. Equipment and facilities of foreign countries are being implemented in the modernization of the hydrometeorology system.
