An international videoconference was held in the form of a round table on the theme: “The role of positive neutrality of Turkmenistan in strengthening good neighborliness in the Caspian basin region”
On June 23, 2020, within the framework of the Year “Turkmenistan is the Homeland of Neutrality”, an international video conference was held in the form of a round table on the topic: “The role of positive neutrality of Turkmenistan in strengthening good neighborliness in the Caspian basin region” between the rectors and faculty members of universities of Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan region.
The purpose of this round table was to further develop educational cooperation between higher education institutions of Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan region and discuss the methodology of teaching young professionals the positive impact of the neutral status of Turkmenistan on the development of international transport corridors.
During the round table, the Director of the Caspian Institute of Sea and River Transport named after Admiral General F.M. Apraksin O. Kartashova and Rector of Astrakhan State University A. Nevalenny, who noted that the neutrality of Turkmenistan is of great importance in the international arena and the pursued policy of the President of Turkmenistan fully coincides with the course of strengthening good neighborliness in the Caspian region. They also underlined great importance of the first Caspian Economic Forum held in August 2019 in the city of Turkmenbashi.
In order to exchange experience, the participants of the video communication discussed the learning process with the use of new innovative technologies and taking into account the new teaching opportunities of future young specialists.
The rectors and the teaching staff of the universities of the Astrakhan region congratulated the President of Turkmenistan and the entire Turkmen people on the 25th anniversary of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan, and wished them great success and prosperity.
