A video conference on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality was held in Kazakhstan
On May 28, 2020, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov organized a video conference on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan and the proclamation of 2020 as “Turkmenistan is the homeland of Neutrality,” which is widely celebrated in our country and abroad.
The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, faculty and students of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University, as well as representatives of the Shymkent city branch of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the conference, a representative of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan made a speech and spoke in detail about the main directions of the “open door” policy implemented under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan and about ongoing events this year, which was announced as the Year of “Turkmenistan-the Homeland of Neutrality”, as well as on the occasion of anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, recognized by the UN General Assembly.
Professors, teachers and representatives of South Kazakhstan State University emphasized the historical significance of the status of Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan and its role in ensuring peace and sustainable development not only in the Central Asian region, but throughout the world.
