Briefing dedicated to the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan held in Islamabad
On January 30, 2020, a briefing for the representatives of the mass media of Pakistan was organized in the “Marriott” hotel of the Islamabad city and was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan that is celebrated in the year 2020 under the slogan “Turkmenistan – Home of Neutrality.” The briefing was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The participants of the briefing were acquainted with the events on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan that are taking place and are planned for the current 2020 year entitled “Turkmenistan – Home of Neutrality.”
In this regard, the significance of the joint projects, such as the construction of the “Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India” (TAPI) gas pipeline, as well as the power and fiber-optic communication systems on “Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan” (TAP) route was mentioned.
During their speeches at the briefing, the editor-in-chief of the international magazine “Melange” Ms.Amna Malik and Pakistani analyst Abdul Rahman Bilal have highly appraised the activities and events carried out on the basis of the positive neutrality policy of Turkmenistan, highlighting the projects of TAPI and TAP.
The special role of the high-level International Conference entitled «Policy of Neutrality and its importance in ensuring international peace, security and sustainable development» which will be held in December of the current year was noted.
