In Japan was held a conference in honor of significant dates of Turkmenistan
On April 1, 2021, in the building of the Japanese parliament, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan together with the Turkmen-Japanese inter-parliamentary friendship group, organized a conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence, 25th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan and the declaration of 2021 in the country as International Year of Peace and Trust.
The conference was attended by deputies of Japanese parliament, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Ministry of Justice of Japan, the JICA agency and Turkmen students studying in Japan.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Japan G.Elyasov, Chairman of the Japan-Turkmen inter-parliamentary friendship group, Vise-president of the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 E.Toshiaki and others gave speeches at the event.
The importance of Independence and permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, their impact on international security, stability and development was noted. The speakers also spoke about the development of Turkmen-Japanese relations during the years of Independence.
At the end of the event, an exchange of views took place in the format of questions and answers between Turkmen students and deputies of Japanese Parliament.
