International Conference «Policy of Neutrality and its importance in ensuring international peace, security and sustainable development»


A meeting dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan was held in the Turkish Parliament

On December 8, 2020, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish-Turkmen Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group of the Grand National Assembly (Mejlis) of Turkey organized a meeting in the building of the country's parliament dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality and declaring 2020 the Year of "Turkmenistan - Home of Neutrality".

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Turkey I. Amanliyev, deputies of the Mejlis - members of the Turkish-Turkmen Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group, employees of the Protocol Department and the Foreign Relations Department of the Turkish Mejlis, representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan and media representatives.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan made a presentation on the 25th anniversary of the country's Neutrality. The speech was about the country's achievements in various fields over the years of Independence, about the history and significance of the status of Neutrality, as well as about the international activities of Turkmenistan to ensure global peace and sustainable development.

During the meeting, the deputies of the Turkish Parliament congratulated the Turkmen people on the 25th anniversary of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan and noted that the policy of positive Neutrality of our country serves as a reliable instrument for ensuring peace, stability and sustainable development.

At the end of the meeting, the participants took a photo in front of the building of the Turkish Parliament in memory of the 25th anniversary of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan.
