OSCE Center in Ashgabat organized a course of online lectures for students of specialized universities of Turkmenistan
As part of the lecture courses organized by the OSCE Center in Ashgabat on the eve of the 25th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, a three-day course of online lectures by the former OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier was held. The lectures were attended by students of the International University for the Humanities and Development and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the lectures, students enriched their knowledge on topics such as “Minorities and issues of integration of societies”, “The evolution of security order in Europe after the end of the Cold War and the importance of neutrality”. During his substantive speeches, the diplomat told the participants about important aspects of the history of international relations and held a discussion about how the principles of neutrality contribute to maintaining peace and security in the system of international relations.
L. Zannier highly appreciated the active position of neutral Turkmenistan, which has come forward in recent years with a number of topical international initiatives to address acute problems of the modern world, including ensuring global energy security.
