Ankara hosted an event "Culture and art of Turkmenistan" on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan
On October 27, 2020, the opening ceremony of the cultural photo exhibition "Culture and Art of Turkmenistan" was held at the headquarters of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY, jointly organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey and TURKSOY.
The event was attended by Secretary General of TURKSOY Dusen Kaseinov, Chief Adviser to the President of Turkey Yalcin Topcu, Chairman of the Turkmen-Turkish Friendship Group of the Parliament of Turkey Ibrahim Aydemir and member of the group Bedri Yashar, Mayor of Cankaya District of Ankara Hudayar Mete Bukhara. The event was also attended by Adem Kula, Secretary General of the ECO Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ambassadors and diplomats of several foreign countries in Turkey, university professors, and Turkmen students studying in Ankara, representatives of the TRT TV and Radio Company and other media.
At the beginning of the event, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan made a speech and spoke about the significance of the proclamation of 2020 "Turkmenistan - the homeland of Neutrality" and the importance of the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan for ensuring peace, security and sustainable development at the national, regional and international levels.
In addition, Secretary General of TURKSOY D. Kaseinov, Chief Adviser to the President of Turkey Yalcin Topcu and members of the Turkish Parliament noted the importance of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan and its role at the international level.
The participants of the cultural event stressed that they are closely acquainted with the rich cultural heritage of our country and thanked the Turkmen side for organizing the event. At the end of the event, the Embassy invited the participants to taste dishes of the Turkmen national cuisine.
The exhibition "Culture and Art of Turkmenistan" will last until October 30 this year.
