Representative of Turkmenistan to UNESCO made a statement on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the country's neutrality
On October 21, 2020, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to UNESCO Sh. Dzhumaev, within the framework of the plenary meeting of the Asia-Pacific Region (ASPAC) of UNESCO, which took place online, made a statement on the occasion of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of our country.
In addition to representatives of the ASPAC member countries, the meeting was also attended by the Deputy Director General of UNESCO for Science, Ms. Shamila Nair-Bedouelle.
During his speech, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan briefed the meeting participants on the domestic and foreign policy of the country, as well as on the history of the country acquiring neutral status and its role in strengthening international and regional stability. Also, the meeting participants were informed in detail about the international initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
After the completion of the speech of the representative of the country, the participants of the meeting were shown a video dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan.
