Scientific conference and festive events were held in the National Library of Izmir dedicated to the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan
On January 29, 2020, the conference and festive events were held in the National Library of Izmir dedicated to the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan and on the occasion of declaring the year 2020 as “Turkmenistan – Home of Neutrality,” as well as to present to the books written by the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan entitled “A Source of wisdom,” “Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road” and “Music of peace, music of friendship and brotherhood.” These events were organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey (Ankara) and the Consulate-General of Turkmenistan (Istanbul) in cooperation with the Konak province city hall of Izmir.
The Mayor of the Konak province, Head of the Cultural Department of the Izmir city, Director of the National Library of Izmir, as well as the representatives of the scientific institutions, Turkish and Turkmen students studying in the higher education schools participated to the event.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Turkey, Consul-general of Turkmenistan in Turkey (Istanbul), Mayor of the Konak province of Izmir, Director of the National Library of Izmir, as well as the respected social and scientific experts of Turkey gave speeches at the scientific conference.
During the speeches, it was underlined that the permanent neutrality policy of Turkmenistan contributes to the promotion of peace and security in the region, as well as to the improvement of friendly, peaceful and mutually beneficial ties between the countries of the world and region.
